When Kevin Bailey, a black, jobless twenty-something returns to New York City from a recent hermitage in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, he finds himself both broke and homeless. Whew! Where should I begin: Maybe the run-on sentences, the dangling participles, the faulty logic or the rambling paragraphs would be a start! 4th grade, maybe 5th grade creative class, after a few glasses of wine would produce a grade of D almost a plus! My best recommendation would be for the author to pull this one and read a few thousands good books in the quite hours of his new career as night watchman for a parking garage.

Wow–excruciating detail–the story line was OK, but line after line of detail takes away from it. (In one instance, you are told the amount of a paycheck down to the penny, mentioning FICA and other withholding) Some of the things that happened are not quite believable– Should have spent the $$ for a good editor. Hope the next book improves.

I agree with the other ’1′ star poster, childish writing style and horrible plot. Could the writer have made ‘Bailey’ any more ridiculous?

Very poor writing style. It felt like this was a grade school kid making up his first story as an assignment for basic English. I finished it but it took a great deal of wil power!

This is a well-written book. It kept me up until 4 a.m. so I could find out how it was all going to end. A real page-turner and well worth the read. Hopefully this author is onto his next book. Better still, hopefully his next book is about to be released!
